We are born to die that is our naked fate. Hence, our lives are fragile. Seeing the truth of this shared humanity sharpens the perspective that every minute lived, is but a gift.
If you are a predator (http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-500202_162-57319557/date-rape-drug-death-family-still-seeks-clues/), intentionally administering GHB to the drinks of others
(http://www.thedailybeast.com/newsweek/2003/02/02/the-perfect-crime.html),
then you deliberately seek to accelerate the death of others for the potential for a GHB overdose is extremely high. If you are self-administering then you play Russian roulette with your life because the range of a safe dose is extremely narrow. http://www1.villanova.edu/villanova/studentlife/health/promotion/goto/resources/drugs/ghb.html
http://www.rainn.org/get-information/types-of-sexual-assault/drug-facilitated-assault

If you think it’s trendy to take GHB then picture yourself: unconscious, breathing very slowed and so is your heart rate, you’re experiencing aspiration due to vomit, and you have convulsions and, then can enter a coma. Your friends decide to turn you on your side to sleep it off because they are afraid they might be busted or blamed. So no one does anything to preserve your precious life.

You give your power away and put yourself at the mercy of stoned friends and bystanders when what is needed when over dosing on GHB is a miracle. What if those friends are self-administering GHB and incoherent? What is so cool about this experience? Please blog us.

But, if you’re a thrill seeker who likes to live on the edge, isn’t the fact that you are born to die enough of a thrill? Why not ride it out until you die of natural causes? Why put yourself at risk by compromising circumstances where another individual, maybe someone you know or maybe a complete stranger, or a predator, decides your fate, and accelerates your death?

In every second you have a choice. Choose yourself rather than GHB.

I go over it, and over it, in my mind because a predator spiked my daughter’s drink with a massive dose of GHB and she went into a GHB-induced coma and died from acute GHB poisoning. Her supposed male friend, Abstract Rude, his manager and his band, were too high and too afraid (cowards) to call 911 for help…they let her sleep it off but she never woke up. She died.

It happens so quickly that you don’t have a chance especially, if you are relying on those friends that may leave you, or lay you down to sleep it off all the while you are choking on your own vomit. Depending on people you may think are your friends may seal your fate. It’s deadly, but it’s GHB.

So you trust your friends…but what do you really know about your trusted friends? What are your criteria for discerning whether someone is trustworthy and has the potential for being a friend? What are your criteria for discerning truth from hype? Do you do things because you want to please others? Are you able to say no to what is not good for you? Can you discern those who are on your side and those who are exploitative and manipulative? Do you find yourself in situations where you know you are in over your head because you were not discerning? Can you allow yourself to look at the situation and the people in your life and draw the line to protect your health and spirit from being abused and hurt by those who do not cherish you? Can you discern what is really valuable and beautiful about yourself and honor that within you?

This is what I’m talking about, HONORING yourself, being aware of your person, your surroundings and your friends Take nothing for granted. Try waking up everyday and finding one thing to be grateful for, like breath. Miracles abound. Wake up! Remember that you have been given the gift of life. If you are reading this at this moment rejoice in the present moment of your cosmic connection to the universe…for you are a field of unlimited possibility just because you exist! That’s it! If you see that you are lacking then you are suffering from illusion because you came into this world already complete having and knowing everything you need to know for your journey.

You bring into this world your own unique gifts that only you can give to the world. It is your choice. You have value because you exist. Rejoice and celebrate your life. Dance because you are inspired by spirit not because you want to escape the ordinariness of every day life by a GHB-induced high (http://dancesafe.org/drug-information/ghb). Life is ordinary but you are not.

Searching the Internet it becomes sadly obvious that GHB is not recognized for its poisonous or lethal qualities but rather is know as a party drug. From young teens to business executives GHB does not discriminate. It kills. One of the largest GHB bust in Canadian history occurred Friday in Alberta Canada (http://www.calgaryherald.com/news/alberta/cocaine+seized+Edmonton+drug+arrest/8653098/story.html.)
The police seized 106 liters of the odorless and tasteless clear liquid. I think what makes the angriest about this GHB is that it’s prodominately used by predators to lower inhibitions of women, basically the drug is used to victimize women.
Please Watch this video: http://us.yhs4.search.yahoo.com/yhs/search?hspart=w3i&hsimp=yhs-defalttabtransfer&type=tb_ie_tbs-W3i_YT,191,8_4,Search,20120938,18369,0,8,0&p=ghb…date%20rape%20drugs…

Apparently it doesn’t matter to men whether their sexual partner is willing or conscious. Girls and Women don’t you get that this drug is designed to compromise you and your life or cause death. You can’t look cool on GHB. It is floor stripper. IS that intriguing? I don’t get it. But I want to understand…Why any girl or woman would voluntarily or knowingly put that toxic substance into their body? Please explain that to me. My daughter didn’t know she was drinking from a drink mixed with GHB. She was dead within a few hours of that drink. It can happen to you. No one seems to care when they are high on GHB that their friend has passed out. In many circumstances the party continues while the person who everyone thinks is sl;eeping it offf is actually dying because from respiratory distress.

My heart aches for all the parents who like me have suffered because GHB caused their child’s death. You are so loved and are infinite fields of possibility don’t throw it away. Don’t knowingly ingest GHB because your friends or someone who matters to you is pressuring you to try GHB.

Your life is far too valuable. You have too much to offer the world to throw it away. The one second it takes for you to ingest a GHB cocktail can be the second you demolish all your dreams for the future. Think about who you are and your connection to the great mystery of life to which you are a part…a link. Your life is worthy of preserving and protecting. Your life is worthy of celebrating. Celebrate your choice to choose life and look out for your sisters. Let your voice be heard, sing your song of life. Pass it on…and on…” Words have the power to both destroy and to heal. When words are both true and kind they can change the world.” Buddha. Your words are powerful. Stand up for what you believe…make a difference…talk to your friends about the reality of GHB as a deadly poison…blog here about your experiences…your words have the power to heal.

Every 5 minutes a rape occurs in the U.S. Around the world 35 percent of woman have been either raped or assaulted. These staggering statistics are a window into escalating violence against women–hate crimes—crimes with the sole objective of demeaning women. Crimes that destroy dignity and respect. Rape and violence permeates American culture and is glorified by Rap/Hip-Hop artists like Rick Ross and Little Wayne, as well as others, which is a paradox given that 72 percent of black men were raised in single-mother households. Where is their love and reverance for their mothers? This is a disconnect. The music industry needs accountability.

These artists are storytellers and the stories they tell are predominately about guns, violence, drugs, rape, “hoes and bitches.” But, not only do they demean women and romanticize rape but also promote date rape drugs and dangerous lifestyles. Romanticizing date rape is misogyny. In western culture where success is measured by your bank account and your possessions CNN reports five of the wealthiest rappers earning between $550 million (Sean “Diddy” Combs) and $110 million (50 cents.)

Make no mistake, our children and our grandchildren are bombarded and influenced by the messaging “Put molly all in her champagne/ She ain’t even know it/ I took her home and I enjoyed that/ She ain’t even know it.” That’s the lyrics from a piece (“U.O.E.N.O”) by Miami rapper Rick Ross. . For those who may not be street savvy, “Molly” is the drug Methylenedioxymethamphetamine or MDMA, which is a main ingredient of Estacy found in clubs all over the world.

You can sign this petition (http://www.change.org/petitions/rape-rick-ross-and-responsibility-rrr) to petition the music industry for accountability and responsibility for the content it publishes, promotes and profits from. This is a beginning or maybe a ripple across a vast sea of escalating (not diminishing)crimes against women and a culture of misogynists.

Find you voice, sign a petition, blog here or create your own…where have you experienced a lack of dignity or respect? Tell me how I can support you in your efforts to raise conscoiusness to a level where crimes against women are only memorialized in an historical sense rather than a song. We need to join together and say, “enough”–no more crimes against women.
